Opr. Dr. Alper Mete Uğurlu

Op.Dr. Alper Mete Uğurlu was born on February 17, 1983 in Ankara. After completing his secondary and high school education at Ankara Atatürk Anatolian High School, he started his medical education at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2001. In 2007, he made a Turkey degree in the TUS exam and started his specialization training at Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine (Çapa), the first established Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery clinic in Turkey.

During his assistantship, he worked as an operator and assistant in more than 1500 surgeries related to maxillofacial surgery (maxillofacial surgery), Breast Reconstruction and Aesthetics, Microsurgery, Facial Reconstructions and Aesthetics, Head and Neck tumors, body shaping. Dr. Alper, who worked in the Department of Hand Surgery in the same clinic for 2 years, participated in many surgeries related to hand injuries, limb ruptures, muscle transfers in nerve paralysis, and nerve transfers in Brachial Plexus injuries. In 2012, “The effects of limited adventitiectomy on vascular anastomosis; He earned his specialization diploma with his thesis named “an experimental study”. This work has been published in “J Plast Surg Hand Surg”.

He published his studies on facial fractures in the article "Minimally invasive approaches in severe pansfacial fractures". This work has been cited in many articles. He developed a new technique to easily remove temporal fascia and ear cartilage, especially in secondary nose surgeries, and this technique was published in the Journal of Craniofac Surgery with the name Endoscopy-Assisted Single-Incision Technique to Harvest the Conchal Cartilage and Temporal Fascia Simultaneously by Using Phaco Slit Knife. . On the other hand, Op. Dr. Alper Mete Uğurlu has been working intensively on postbariatric surgery for increasing weight problems and sagging after weight loss.
