Prof. Dr. Müge Yılmaz

Yılmaz completed his undergraduate education in Education Communication and Planning at Anadolu University, and his master's and doctoral degrees in Psychological Counseling and Guidance at Ondokuz Mayıs University. In 2013, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor by the Interuniversity Board, and in 2019, he became a Professor in the field of Developmental Psychology.

Currently, Yılmaz continues his academic career at Gümüşhane University. He held various administrative positions throughout his career, including Deputy Chair of the Department of Educational Sciences at Ondokuz Mayıs University from 2010 to 2013, Deputy Director of the Continuous Education Center at Ondokuz Mayıs University from 2012 to 2013, Head of Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit at the Health, Culture, and Sports Department at Ondokuz Mayıs University from 2012 to 2013, Chair of the Psychology Department at Avrasya University from May to August 2018, Chair of the Psychology Department at Gümüşhane University from August 2018 onwards, Coordinator of Gümüşhane University Psychological Counseling and Guidance Unit from 2019 to 2021, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Communication from 2019 to 2023, and Director of the Psychological Counseling and Guidance Center from 2022 to the present.

Yılmaz has conducted research on various topics such as Emotional Intelligence, Specific Learning Disabilities, Play Therapy, Adolescent and Child Therapy, Sand Therapy, and Anger in Children and Adolescents. His research has been published in national and international peer-reviewed journals, peer-reviewed conference proceedings, book chapters, and books where he also served as an editor. He has supervised and is currently supervising master's and doctoral theses.

Furthermore, Yılmaz has received citations at the national and international levels.
