What is Ozone?
Ozone is a gas normally present in the atmosphere. The oxygen we breathe consists of oxygen molecules formed by two oxygen atoms coming together (O2). Ozone gas, on the other hand, is formed by the combination of three oxygen molecules (O3).
For medical use, oxygen gas (O2) is converted into Ozone (O3) through specialized devices.
Benefits of Ozone Gas:
- Accelerates metabolism
- Boosts blood circulation
- Increases oxygen utilization
- Enhances the oxygen-carrying capacity of blood
- Promotes cell renewal in regional applications
- Reduces pain
- Promotes increased energy and vitality
- Enhances the functioning of the thyroid gland
- Normalizes hormone and enzyme production
- Exhibits strong bactericidal, fungicidal, and antiviral properties
Methods of Ozone Therapy Application:
- Major Application: 50 - 100 ml of the patient's blood is mixed with medical ozone gas and then reintroduced to the patient.
- Minor Application: 2 - 5 ml of the patient's blood is mixed with medical ozone gas and injected into the patient's muscle.
- Bagging Method: Wounds on areas such as arms and legs are enclosed in a bag, and ozone gas is introduced into this bag.
- Intradiscal Application: Ozone gas is delivered into the intervertebral discs, especially in cases of herniated discs in the lumbar and cervical regions, using imaging techniques in a sterile environment.
- Epidural Ozone Application: Treatment is provided by introducing ozone into the epidural space in cases of herniated discs in the lumbar and cervical regions.
- Intracutaneous Ozone Application: Ozone is administered through small needles, especially for wrinkles on the face.
- Lipolysis-Oriented Ozone Application: Ozone gas is injected into localized points such as the abdomen, hips, and legs to dissolve fat tissues for slimming purposes.
- Intra-articular and Periarticular Application: Ozone gas is injected into joint, connective tissue, and muscle areas in cases of joint, ligament, and spine disorders.
