As you know, the skin around our eyes is about 5 times thinner than the rest of our skin. With the addition of aging, stress, and internal and external factors, issues in this area increase rapidly. Signs of aging appear at earlier ages, and dark circles, loss of elasticity, and pigment irregularities quickly become part of this picture.
This is where we step in, offering our patients the opportunity to achieve a radiant eye area with our special LET – PERIOCULAR Treatment, which consists of a combination of a unique peeling and needle-free mesotherapy. LET – PERIOCULAR Treatment has been developed for the specific treatment of the eye area.
At first glance, our eye area that makes us look tired and older is treated by filling in any hollows or depressions under the eyes using fillers. In addition, for any remaining issues, LET – Eye Shine acts as a viable alternative to mesotherapy or a supportive treatment for more aggressive issues, greatly strengthening our approach.
Why do we call it Needle-Free Mesotherapy? What are the active ingredients?
We call it "Needle-Free Mesotherapy" because the active ingredients in this protocol work similarly to mesotherapy by penetrating the skin's sublayers using specialized molecules. It's an Italian technology composed of highly effective and next-generation active ingredients.
The formula has been cleverly designed, incorporating mesotherapy agents tailored to address every issue in the eye area. These include:
- Mandelic Acid: Possesses keratolytic (superficial peeling) effects. It loosens the upper layers of the epidermis and promotes the shedding of the topmost layer of skin. It activates cell renewal, collagen, and elastin synthesis to reduce fine wrinkles and create a lifting effect.
- Tranexamic Acid: Prevents the triggering of discoloration by UV rays. Tranexamic acid suppresses the release of hormones that induce the formation of melanin pigment when UV rays stimulate keratinocytes. By inhibiting this triggering signal that moves deeper into the epidermis, it prevents excessive melanin production and discoloration.
- Buthylresorcinol: Existing in vitro and in vivo data demonstrate that buthylresorcinol far exceeds the potency of hydroquinone, arbutin, and kojic acid in inhibiting tyrosinase activity, a key enzyme in melanin synthesis. It provides an illuminating effect on hyperpigmentation by inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase, the enzyme crucial for melanin synthesis.
- Ferulic Acid: It acts as an antioxidant that helps cleanse our skin from free radicals and reduce the impact of UV radiation from the sun. Over time, free radicals can lead to skin deterioration, fine lines, and wrinkles. Ferulic acid steps in to protect our skin against these free radicals.
As you can see, the formulation contains such potent active ingredients that achieving an effect similar to mesotherapy is nearly impossible to avoid.
What's the Reason for Choosing This Treatment?
The application is remarkably easy, offering high patient comfort and satisfaction, fitting within patients' budgets, and being painless and ache-free. Visible results are obtained immediately after the treatment. There are numerous reasons for our preference.
How is the Procedure and Protocol Applied?
The LET periocular serum and LET periocular patches (masks) constitute a 2-step protocol. Firstly, on clean skin, we gradually apply the LET serum containing the aforementioned active ingredients and other special compounds to the eye area through intensive massage, allowing the serum to rest for approximately 10 minutes.
The LET periocular serum and its active component pool facilitate skin renewal based on the skin's pH value. By stimulating the synthesis of collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans, it improves the eye area and enhances the penetration of other compounds.
Following this, we proceed with the LET PERIOCULAR mask, which also contains the same active ingredients as well as Hyalüromin, a precursor to hyaluronic acid, circulation-boosting agents, and antioxidants. This mask applied after the serum aids in reducing bags and dark circles under the eyes, providing illumination and hydration. Moreover, it softens wrinkles and expression lines.
The mask is applied, and we wait for the prescribed time, which is a maximum of 20 minutes. Throughout this period, the patient completes the treatment comfortably without experiencing any painful or pricking sensations. The entire procedure takes about half an hour.
How Many Sessions Does the Treatment Require?
With regularity, this treatment should be performed at intervals of 10 days, ranging from 4 to 6 sessions. If necessary, maintenance therapy can be added to the monthly skincare routine.
What Should the Patient Do After the Treatment?
In my opinion, patients should consider undergoing this treatment a second time within the year and use Lipozomal Succinic Acid, caffeine, and tetrapeptides-containing eye cream and sunscreen as maintenance therapy. To maintain the comprehensiveness of the treatment, we provide post-clinic assignments to our patients.
Who Can Undergo This Treatment?
Anyone with under-eye darkness, puffiness, dullness, and mild expression wrinkles can receive this treatment. Through active ingredients, we aim to accelerate circulation, intervene in pigment irregularities, and provide maximum hydration, leading to a bright, vibrant eye area. In fact, anyone desiring to avoid aging or experiencing genetic under-eye problems can undergo this treatment regularly, both as preventive care and before issues arise.
Is it Economically Burdensome Compared to Other Treatments?
At our clinic, everyone can comfortably afford this treatment without straining their budget.
Is it Needle-Based or Needle-Free?
In cases where vascular structures are highly pronounced and superficial on certain skin types around the eye area, needle-based procedures can be quite challenging. In these cases, we opt for the LET Periocular Treatment - Eye Shine.
For particularly problematic skin types, a combined treatment is necessary. In any case, we always begin the treatment with Eye Shine and complement it with traditional mesotherapy in between.
Do We Recommend a Post-Treatment Home Product After LET Application?
As I mentioned earlier, the skin around the eyes is about 5 times thinner than the rest of the face's skin. Lymphatic circulation is complex, subject to internal and external factors, and collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycan synthesis are lower in the dermal layer. For this reason, following the treatments we perform at the clinic, we strongly recommend using a post-treatment home product to extend and support the treatment's duration.
The Derma Care Solution AOX EYE RECOVERY cream, which contains effective ingredients including "Lipozomal Succinic Acid," which is effective in pigment irregularities, elasticity loss, and fragility, as well as ingredients that enhance circulation and are also present in mesotherapy compounds, is recommended by me without hesitation. Its high effectiveness and patient satisfaction bring me joy.
