The golden rule of having healthier teeth is to prevent decay. Unfortunately, there are people who think that no matter what is done, they cannot prevent tooth decay. However, taking small precautions can prevent all kinds of tooth decay problems. How to prevent tooth decay for the vast majority of people in society? If asked, ninety-nine percent of the respondents would say brushing regularly. Although this answer is very correct, it is not the most important factor. Diet is the number one cause of tooth decay.

The importance of teeth cleaning

If your teeth have started to decay quickly, your diet should be reviewed immediately. So, how should external health be protected in order to prevent rot? Is brushing alone enough for healthy teeth?

Brushing alone is not enough for dental health. Most of the time, consuming too much bakery products, packaged snacks, carbonated drinks, sherbet can cause rot in desserts. This is because these foods are acidic. Because the cause of tooth decay is acidification. Especially if the teeth are not brushed immediately after eating these foods, it means that the foundations of decay are laid. One of the biggest mistakes made is to eat something after brushing teeth at night. During the period until the morning, the food accumulated between the teeth becomes acidic.

Changing living conditions, being in social areas more and being together with people more have developed the habit of brushing teeth. However, incorrect tooth brushing technique negatively affects oral health. Simply brushing superficially is not enough. It is essential to clean the food residues between each tooth. A large part of society does not use dental floss. But among the ways to protect dental health, the most effective method is to clean the teeth with dental floss after brushing. Dentists emphasize the importance of eating habits, brushing, flossing and mouthwash while giving information about dental hygiene to their patients. In addition to all these, it is very important to be examined at least once a year for no reason.
