Oh no! I Broke My Diet Over the Weekend

Oh no! I Broke My Diet Over the Weekend

  • Oh no! I Broke My Diet Over the Weekend

During the week, my diet is perfect, my eating habits are great; but as the weekend arrives, especially on Sundays, my eating pattern falls apart, does it not? Many people think that their diet is ruined in such cases, that they will never get back on track, and that they have regained weight, leading them to reject healthy eating and diet habits altogether.

There are many reasons for this. Individuals often restrict themselves too much during the week, stressing their bodies with the anxiety of maintaining a perfect diet. They suppress their desires effectively. The body can endure this situation for a certain period, but when intensely triggered, it wants to break free at the slightest thing. When the perfect diet is broken, it feels like the whole effort is lost.

The solution is to adopt a perspective without embracing the concept of 'being perfect' in our lives. Discover a diet that 'works well for you' rather than aiming for 'perfect eating habits.'

So, what can we do to continue as if we didn't break our diet?

  • Move away from the concept of a perfect diet.
  • Start the next day with a light breakfast.
  • Cleanse your body with plenty of water and herbal teas.
  • Make sure to get enough protein sources throughout the day.
  • Focus on exercising.

However, at the end of the day, don't feel like you are on a diet. Adapt a sustainable eating model into your life. Discover what works well for you and enjoy the environments you find yourself in on weekends.
