Leaky Gut Syndrome Also Known as Leaky Gut Syndrome What is it?

Hippocrates, who is considered the father of modern medicine, went down in world history with his saying 'All disease begins in the gut'. It has been 2000 years since he passed away. Scientific research has proven that it is a problem that goes back many years. For more than 30 years, medical practice has encouraged people to become more and more aware of the fact that modern lifestyles can negatively affect overall health by damaging the digestive system.

What Causes Leaky Gut Syndrome?

In general, the intestines are constituted as a single layer of special epithelial cells that are interlocked by means of a tight junction protein. Leaky gut symptoms occur as a result of joint failure in tight connection with the gut. These tight joints act as a gateway between the intestines and blood flow. It is responsible for controlling the nutrients allowed to pass from the digestive system to conditions such as the blood circulation.

According to the medical studies of experts, when all the issues such as toxin overload, chronic stress, poor eating habits, genetic predisposition and bacterial imbalance are combined together, leaky gut syndrome symptoms occur. For this reason, after understanding the other underlying causes, more rational treatment practices can be chosen after listening to the individual's story of the examination, treatment and diagnosis stages.
