What is NAD?

NAD, which stands for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, is a coenzyme produced in all of our cells, essential for carrying electrons, or hydrogen, required for energy production from carbohydrates and fats in our cell's powerhouses, the mitochondria. NAD+ is indispensable for energy production, protecting cells against oxidative damage, repairing DNA damage, and preventing the shortening of telomeres, which act as caps at the ends of our chromosomes. With its mentioned effects, NAD is a miraculous molecule that can reverse the signs of aging and provide protection against cancer.

As long as our NAD+ levels remain high, our mitochondria continue to produce energy efficiently, safeguarding our cells against oxidative damage. However, as we age, our NAD+ production decreases. The endless energy of young children is due to the abundance of NAD in their cells.

Why Does NAD Production Decline?

  • NAD levels begin to decrease with advancing age.
  • Eating frequently, snacking, and following the classic three main meals and three snacks diet.
  • Consuming excessive starchy, sugary, and starchy foods.
  • Failing to engage in regular exercise and avoiding daily activities (such as not doing household chores and using a car for short distances).
  • Using alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, hookah, and drugs or stimulants.
  • Having experienced trauma.

What Happens When NAD Levels Drop?

When our cells lack sufficient NAD, energy production in our mitochondria is disrupted, oxidative damage increases, and signs of aging start to appear. These signs may include chronic fatigue, tiredness, increased blood sugar, susceptibility to diabetes, liver and overall body fat accumulation, weight gain and obesity, reluctance to engage in physical activities and exercise due to decreased energy, chronic loss of muscle tissue known as sarcopenia, anxiety, stress disorders caused by the accumulation of free oxygen radicals in the brain, susceptibility to neurodegenerative diseases, reduced immunity leading to increased susceptibility to infections, DNA damage repair deficits, and increased susceptibility to cancer.

Can NAD Production Be Increased?

NAD is a coenzyme that is challenging to produce in the body, and it is not possible to directly obtain NAD from food. Salmon, mushrooms, and green vegetables may support NAD production. Regular exercise, avoiding late-night snacking, and intermittent fasting may help increase NAD levels, but particularly with aging, a decrease in NAD production, chronic stress, disrupted sleep patterns, and having diabetes, intravenous (IV) NAD supplementation can lead to much more successful results.

Who Can Receive IV NAD Supplementation?

  • Individuals who do not want to experience the destructive effects of aging.
  • People exposed to chronic stress.
  • Those experiencing energy deficiency, chronic fatigue, and tiredness.
  • Individuals with cognitive problems often referred to as brain fog.
  • People diagnosed with degenerative brain diseases (dementia, MS, Parkinson's, etc.).
  • Users of alcohol and tobacco.
  • Individuals dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, and anxiety disorders.
  • Adults with focus and attention deficits.
  • Individuals wanting to improve their physical performance, including athletes.
  • People undergoing addiction treatment.
  • Individuals with impaired liver detox mechanisms and fatty liver.
  • Individuals with diagnosed or predisposed to diabetes.
  • Individuals with obesity or excess weight.

What Happens When You Receive IV NAD Therapy?

Intracellular energy levels increase. Aging effects can be halted. ENERGY = YOUTH. Coping with chronic fatigue and stress becomes easier, blood sugar control becomes more manageable, weight loss becomes more feasible, liver and internal organ fat can be reduced, strengthened immunity facilitates fighting infections, physical performance improves, withdrawal symptoms are easier to handle in individuals undergoing addiction treatment, and by preventing DNA damage, the risk of cancer decreases, cognitive functions improve, and concentration increases.
