  • Signs of Graves' Disease

Graves' disease is caused by the immune system. The genetic transmission of this disease is very low. Since it is a disease that can occur instantly in any person at any time in our lives, more people's immune system is evaluated based on stress. Exposure to excessive iodine consumption at the same time triggers this disease. When Graves' disease occurs, the values secreted from the pituitary are very low. Since the thyroid gland constantly produces hormones, T3 and T4 levels are very low in patients. This is a condition that should be treated as it impairs the patient's quality of life. Sometimes, very rarely, nodules appear when the patient has graves’ disease.

Graves' disease can be treated with three different methods. The first treatment method is drug therapy, which is preferred by all physicians. The second option is the method of eliminating graves’ disease by surgical intervention. The third option is the radioactive iodine method.

In the absence of a very special situation at first, medical treatment should be tried. In the case of drug treatment, the disease can enter the suppression method and can be easily eliminated by pressure. It may disappear completely for a long time and may not repeat itself again. Since Graves' disease also has non-thyroid findings, drug therapy is a procedure that should be given great importance and applied in the first place.
