Approach to Autism and Homeopathy

Struggling to accept the diagnosis of autism is natural for all parents when they first receive it for their children. Even if your doctor claims that there is no possibility of your child recovering from autism, do not give in to despair. Many cases have shown significant improvement or recovery after early behavioral and homeopathic interventions.

Start Early

After receiving the diagnosis, it is crucial to accept it as soon as possible. Most parents struggle to accept the diagnosis, which leads to a waste of time for the child. Early intervention plays a critical role in helping a child recover from autism.

Are We Sure About Autism?

Diagnosing a very young child, say an 18-24-month-old, can be challenging. A Neurodevelopmental specialist is the right person for the diagnosis. One diagnostic sign I often find useful for early detection of autism is how the child reacts when their name is called. Especially when a stranger calls...

Understand What's Happening to Your Child

A child seemingly immersed in their own world is less connected to the world around them. Their mind is trained to be in their own world, which is why they tend to self-stimulate. Preventing this self-stimulation is essential as it hinders their ability to learn new things.

Now or Never

You can't afford to delay in this matter. Children who have parents dedicated to pulling them out of their isolated world are more likely to see improvements in their autism condition.

I recommend avoiding sending autistic children to school at an early stage. If they are to attend school, it should be a school specifically designed for autistic children. The primary reason for not sending your child to a regular school is the risk of them retreating further into their inner world due to external pressures.

Therapist or Parent?

The person who will make the biggest difference is not the therapist but you, the parent. Taking your child to a therapist can have its drawbacks. Many parents, after seeking therapist help, start relying solely on the therapist and neglect the necessary work at home.

If you are taking your child to therapy, make sure there is no idle time for them to retreat into their inner world when they return home. This retreat into their inner world is the biggest obstacle to their recovery. When an autistic child loses themselves to their inner world, passive learning doesn't occur, and consequently, the learning process is disrupted.

Having taken your child to the best therapist or therapy center can give parents the belief that they have done their part and their child will eventually overcome autism. When you get back home, engage in stimulation. Play, talk, dance, engage in all sorts of activities. Keep them in a cycle with you and the normal world around them.

The Best Therapists are the Parents

There's no harm in seeking therapy or taking your child to an autism therapy center as long as you are spending a lot of time with your child. You are the best therapist for your child.

Encourage, Simulate, Encourage

The fundamental principle behind any therapy is to maintain constant interaction with the child. Never leave them alone. Do not allow them to retreat into their inner world. This self-isolation is the most harmful for autistic children. Retreating into themselves keeps them away from learning new things, affecting their speech and actions. Continuously encourage your child; talk, play, dance. Don't leave them alone.

All exercises aim to train the mind to be constantly connected with the external world, allowing passive learning to take place.

Keep Your Child Away from TV, Phone, and Tablets

Your child cannot learn anything from television, phones, or tablets. They often become a major obsession and worsen the situation. There have been numerous miraculous results observed when children are kept away from such devices.

Have More People at Home

The increase in the prevalence of autism cannot solely be blamed on nuclear families; nobody knows the true answer. However, human interaction undoubtedly plays a significant role in a child's recovery from autism.

Train Your Autistic Child's Mind for Passive Learning

In children, a lot of learning happens passively. They learn a lot from their surroundings. Autistic children tend to retreat into their own worlds. Continuous stimulation trains their minds to break out of their condition and start passively learning. Provide constant stimulation and spend time with your child.

Don't Focus Only on Speaking

Speech isn't solely a brain function; it arises from the cumulative development of various faculties in the brain. Spontaneous speech is what we truly seek in children who are recovering from autism. A child speaking spontaneously implies that they can say more than they seem capable of learning. They can take words from their surroundings and speak to themselves.

Start Homeopathy for Autism

There are many resources discussing how homeopathy can assist in the treatment of autism. The success of using homeopathy to overcome autism depends on specific factors. The child's age, hyperactivity, and recent verbal development have a significant impact on the overall outcome of the case. Homeopathy can be a great opportunity for some children. It can be said with clarity that some children show dramatic improvements with homeopathy.
