There is the fourth trimester, called the postpartum period, that many women are unaware of. This fourth trimester refers to the first trimester after birth. You learn a lot during this time and you will be very sleep deprived. You can facilitate the puerperium period with some materials.

So, what should you pay attention to after giving birth?

What to Do for Pain

You will have pain in the pelvic floor after the birth. It is ideal for you to try methods that will help heal wounds, pain, swelling and perineal bruises. You can take a sitz bath for this. You can easily apply this process with the mother bath seat. A 20-minute sitz bath with the help of the mother's bath seat will help relieve your pain.

Pad Usage

After giving birth, vaginal bleeding occurs due to shedding of the uterine lining. This situation lasts from two weeks to six weeks. You can feel comfortable using postpartum pads.

Hydrate Level

It is very important to keep your body hydrated after giving birth. If you take enough liquid, you will not have any problems with your milk. If your milk is low, you can try milk-increasing herbal drinks. In addition, milk enhancers not only increase the quantity and quality of milk, they also help support the overall health of the mother.

Nipple Cream

Nipple cracking and sores may occur due to breastfeeding. You should definitely use the nipple cream in order not to feel pain and to ensure that your baby is fed in a healthier way.

Cold/Hot Compress

One of the products used to heal and soothe postpartum pain is hot and cold compresses. Thanks to these compresses, which are ideal for the breasts and perineum, you can relieve your pain.

Chest Shield

Breastfeeding can be difficult at first. Some mothers have inverted or flat nipples, making it more difficult for babies to hold the breast. There are many things that can make breastfeeding a little frustrating for you and your baby. With a nipple shield or breast shield, you can make the breastfeeding process more problem-free for both your baby and yourself. Such materials can also prevent your nipples from drying out and cracking.

Chest Pad

You can use breast pads to prevent bad appearance and chest itching due to milk flow. You can choose disposable breast pads, or you can try products that can be reused after washing.

Nursing Bra

It is beneficial to stock up on 5-7 nursing bras before giving birth. You can increase your comfort level thanks to these bras, which make the breastfeeding process more hygienic and easier. In the same way, you can use it from athletes that act as nursing bras.
