Vaginal aesthetics include surgical or minimally invasive procedures such as laser treatments that aim to improve the shape, size, or function of the vagina and surrounding anatomical structures. These procedures are performed not only for aesthetic concerns but also to address certain functional complaints, such as vaginal laxity, dryness, or urinary incontinence.

Who Are Vaginal Aesthetic Procedures Suitable For?

I generally recommend these procedures for women who experience vaginal tissue laxity after childbirth, have reduced sensation or dissatisfaction during sexual intercourse, or are bothered by asymmetry, sagging, or discoloration in the vaginal or external genital area. Additionally, some of my patients seek treatment simply to rejuvenate the genital area for a smoother appearance and increased comfort.

Main Vaginal Aesthetic Procedures I Perform

  1. Labiaplasty (Reduction/Correction of Inner or Outer Labia): One of the most frequently requested procedures. When the labia majora (outer lips) or labia minora (inner lips) are large, sagging, or asymmetric, it can cause not only aesthetic concerns but also discomfort with tight clothing, hygiene issues, and pain during intercourse. By removing excess tissue with labiaplasty, I achieve both aesthetic and functional improvements.
  2. Vaginoplasty (Vaginal Tightening): Especially after natural childbirth, the vaginal muscles and tissues can become loose, which may lead to loss of sexual pleasure and communication problems between partners. Through vaginoplasty, I aim to restore the tightness and muscle tone of the vaginal canal, leading to a better sexual life and increased self-confidence.
  3. Perineoplasty (Perineal Repair): The perineum is the area between the vaginal opening and the anus. Tears or poorly healed episiotomy scars can remain after childbirth. Perineoplasty can restore the aesthetic and anatomical integrity of this area.
  4. Vaginal Laser Applications: As an alternative to surgery, laser technology can be used to stimulate collagen in the vaginal tissue, providing tightening and increased elasticity. It is also an effective method for complaints such as vaginal dryness, irritation, pain during intercourse, and mild urinary incontinence, especially after menopause.
  5. Clitoral Hoodoplasty (Correction of Clitoral Hood): Excess skin folds covering the clitoris can cause aesthetic discomfort and hinder clitoral stimulation. By removing this excess skin through hoodoplasty, the clitoris can become more functional and aesthetically pleasing.
  6. Genital Filler and PRP Applications: With filler and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) injections, I can improve problems such as volume loss, discoloration, or dryness in the genital area. These applications also enhance blood flow, which can support sexual function.

Procedure Process and Considerations

I perform a detailed examination of my patients before the procedure to assess the anatomical structure, listen to their complaints and expectations, and create a personalized treatment plan. Surgical procedures are generally performed under local anesthesia and patients can usually be discharged on the same day. Laser treatments often do not require anesthesia and can be completed in a short time, typically around 15-20 minutes.

In the first days after the procedure, complaints such as swelling, mild pain, bruising, or discharge may occur. However, with proper care and adherence to my recommendations, the healing process is usually quick and comfortable. I advise my patients to avoid heavy exercise, sexual intercourse, and swimming in the sea or pool during the first weeks.

Vaginal Aesthetics: Not Just About Appearance, But Quality of Life

Vaginal aesthetic procedures are important not only for enhancing external appearance but also for increasing self-confidence, sexual quality of life, and daily comfort. Women should not hesitate to talk about their complaints regarding their genital area, as this is the first and most important step toward resolving these issues. Procedures performed under the guidance of a specialist can improve quality of life both physically and psychologically.

Remember, healthy and satisfying sexuality is an integral part of our overall health.
