Scabies is a skin disease caused by mite sores. It causes wounds, especially in autumn and winter, it can cause itching and redness. Worldwide mites (Sarcoptes scabiei von hominis) are so common in the world that they will occur when sores settle in the top layer of skin. This is due to the itching of the mites by opening the channels in the skin. If left untreated, the disease can cause more intense itching, redness and scarring at night. Regardless of personal hygiene, anyone can see disgusting things. Wounds spread more easily from pets such as cats and dogs, thus spreading from person to person. Even if the mites in pets are transmitted to humans, they cannot enter human skin and cannot live on the skin surface for a long time. Therefore, the current stimulus may disappear spontaneously in a short time.

Scabies

Medical wounds, defined as SC wounds in the medical language, are infectious skin diseases caused by mites (sarcoptes scabiei von hominis) called worms. 0.3 to 0.5 mm When mites enter the skin, there will be scars that are difficult to see, caused by mites. The mites burrow through the top layer of the skin and live for about 4 to 8 weeks. However, they left eggs and feces in the tunnel opened at this time. This can cause skin reactions and severe itching. If left untreated, it can cause rashes, sores, and other infections. Mites reproduced by eggs can live outside the human body for 1 to 2 days. Therefore, the possibility of person-to-person transmission is much higher in the society they live in. The mites made tunnels in the top layer of the skin, and the eggs and droppings they laid were extremely itchy. The disease usually causes itching between the belly button, armpits, elbows, toes, wrists, elbows, and feet. Although this disease does not threaten the general health of the person, it will greatly reduce the quality of life.

How Is Scabies Transmitted?

Wounds are a disease that can spread easily. The incidence of the disease increases in autumn and winter. The source of wounds is more common in schools, hospitals, nursing homes and barracks. The mite is Scabiei von hominis, as it is often called. Ab sores are also often spread among family members. The disease can be spread through skin-to-skin contact as well as sharing bedding, sheets, towels, and clothing. This is because mites can survive outside the human body for 1-2 days. Although it is thought that people of all ages and genders and people who do not care about personal hygiene can be humiliated, this is not true. Wounds are not directly related to personal hygiene. When the insect passes into a healthy person, it goes under the skin, opens the tunnel and multiplies rapidly. It takes 2 to 6 weeks for the first symptoms to appear, but during this period the sores can spread from person to person. People who have had scabies before may have earlier symptoms. Although the disease can be transmitted from injured animals to humans, in this case, symptoms will appear within 1-3 hours, unlike the transmission of abscesses from person to person. They migrate from animals to humans and do not enter the skin in a short time and die. I am asked frequently like “What is the cause of the pain?”. This is how you can answer the question.

What are the Symptoms of Scabies?

Pain is a common parasitic disease that causes itching, usually in the wrists, elbows, armpits, chest, waist, hips, genitals, feet and fingers. Itching and lesions can be seen on female nipples and male genitals. In children, the ears, face, palms, and soles may also be itchy. The tunnel opened by the mites can be seen from the skin surface with the naked eye. Wounds can cause severe itching and reduce quality of life. Wounds can also cause different skin infections, depending on the irritation caused by the itching.

How Is Scabies Treated?

After diagnosing the wound, the doctor usually prescribes a treatment consisting of creams and lotions. When the severity of the itching increases, these creams and lotions will spread over the entire skin from the neck down to the night. When a person wakes up in the morning, he should take a bath. In some cases, the doctor may prescribe oral medications as well as additional medications to relieve itching and other symptoms. For the treatment of the disease, it is extremely important to use the drug within the time recommended by the doctor.
