In the most understandable terms, menopause is the natural end of the menstrual process in women. In order for the gradually slowing menstrual cycle to be called the menopause period, there must be no menstruation for a year. During this process, various symptoms occur in women and some changes occur in the body. The most well-known symptoms among the public are sudden sweating and fatigue.

At What Age Do You Enter Menopause?

A large number of studies have been conducted on the age at menopause, and it is stated that most women at the age of 51 on average enter this process. It is also seen that this age falls between 45 and 47 within the country. The age of incidence is divided into male and late, and if it is seen below the age of thirty, it is expressed as early menopause, if it is seen in the mid-fifties, it is expressed as late menopause. It has been explained that early menopause is seen in approximately 1-2 percent of women. The age at which the mother or aunt enters this process is important among the conditions that affect the age at which menopause will be entered.

What Are the Symptoms of Menopause?

Menopause symptoms have a wide spectrum. The most common symptoms include cessation of menstrual bleeding, night sweats, insomnia, palpitations, depression, irritability, forgetfulness, crying spells, dry skin, difficulty concentrating, being prone to weight gain, hair loss or breakage. In addition, some women experience symptoms such as slowing mental functions, joint pain, and osteoporosis.

How is the Menopause Treatment?

For the treatment of menopause, planning is made by considering the patient's condition and the medical history of the family. In this process, applications such as estrogen, calcium, tapes that adhere to the skin, vitamin D and bisphosphonates are carried out. Laboratory tests are performed for the administration of hormone therapy, including PAP Smear test, lipid profile, ultrasound control of the ovaries, complete blood count, review of the uterine lining, mammography, bone density measurement and liver function tests. It is extremely important for women to exercise during this period, as osteoporosis occurs after the menopause process. Women who have a lot of physical activity and exercise within the framework of a certain program are less likely to see such situations.
