What are the Effects of Insomnia?

Being without sleep for a day or two or constantly sleeping less than 5 hours a day has very harmful effects. What are these;

  • It causes weakening of reflexes.

What Are the Effects of Insufficient or Poor-Quality Sleep?

  • To insulin resistance,
  • It causes obesity.

Under normal conditions, with the darkening of the air, the hormone called Melatonin begins to be secreted from our brain. This hormone tells us to sleep by creating a state of sleepiness. With sleep, some biochemical changes occur in our brain.

What are the Effects of Sleep on the Body?

1.Memory and Learning

The brain records what we do and experience during the day, just like a computer. It classifies this information, creates memory and removes unnecessary information from our brain.

2. Cleansing the Brain

During a certain stage of sleep, the brain secretes fluid called 'spinal fluid', which means that the brain does a general cleaning. It is understood that some toxins and Beta-Amyloid substances formed at the end of brain metabolism are cleaned with cleaning. Beta-Amyloid is one of the important causes of Alzheimer's disease. This cleaning that occurs in our brain every night plays an important role in terms of brain health.

3. Repair and Rejuvenation

During sleep, the brain enters a repair and treatment process. During beauty sleep, the brain begins to secrete growth hormone called 'somatotropin'. With the secretion of this hormone, a renewal and repair process begin within the cell.

  • It balances the tension.

What Should Be Done for Quality Sleep?

  • Get used to going to sleep and waking up at the same time every day.
  • Do not eat after 8 pm.
  • Do not drink coffee after 8 pm.
  • Make sure the bed and what you do is healthy and orthopedic that you can be comfortable with.
  • Extreme heat or cold disrupts sleep. The ideal sleep temperature is around 20 degrees.
