We have all experienced symptoms such as heartburn, bitter taste in the mouth, and burning sensations in the throat or chest from time to time. However, when the severity and frequency of these symptoms increase, it is considered a condition that needs attention and medical treatment. In the first part of this two-part article, I discussed the causes, prevalence, and diagnosis of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).
